Goodbye and very best wishes to the IPCCA Community. I expect my house sale to close by mid-December, and I will no longer be eligible for the board after that. It has been a pleasure to be on our Board for the last several years.
I feel good about all that has been accomplished during this time. To name a few things – overnight street parking restrictions resulting in fewer car prowls and reduced over-occupancy of homes with more vehicles than the property can accommodate; adding bocce and pickle ball as well beginning the processes for a pool bathroom and new gym equipment at the LSC; improved general security with Patrol Masters; beginning to work more closely with IPCA and other IP HOAs; making headway, under the leadership of IPCA, on exterior and entrance landscaping for the IP community as a whole; beginning the lake rebuilds; having better homeowner communication with an improved website and development of a phone app; and developing a plan to control some of the STR issues that have arisen. The routine things like landscaping, street sweeping and street slurry, prompt attendance to varied maintenance issues, etc., are in good shape as well. We have done this while keeping dues increases at or below inflation levels and maintaining our excellent reserve levels for both the HOA and the LSC. No emergency assessments for our homeowners!
We have worked hard to achieve all of this, but we couldn’t do it without the leadership and expertise of our Community Manager, Shelly Ruegsegger, and Nick Evans and all the other people at PPM (Personalized Property Management). They are the greatest!
The positive things in IPCCA far outweigh any negative things that go on. I believe that is because we have a history of working together to solve any problems that arise (and there always will be problems that come up – witness the stress and changes we all experienced the past couple of years with COVID.) You should be very proud of your community.
Enjoy 2022!
