This is a different President’s Comments this time. For a variety of reasons, I have decided it is time for me to move to a senior living facility. I am selling my home in IPCCA and will be resigning from the Board when the sale closes. (I expect the November 2021 board meeting will be my last one.) I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life but will miss the Indian Palms community very much.

My thoughts now center on urging our homeowners to take part in the HOA if you possibly can. Be informed about what is going on – read the news on the website, attend meetings, make sure to vote in a thoughtful way during elections. When you volunteer to help, you get back way more than you give. This does take time, I know, but there is room for people to participate at various levels of commitment from serving on the Board, to working on various standing committees (for example, A&L and the LSC), to helping with specific projects (website and app development, lakes, LSC activity captains, etc.). Think about this every time you think “they” ought to do this or that. Remember, “they” are really “we!” Please also be pleasant to those who are working for the HOA – whether PPM staff, board members, committee members, or anyone else. Everyone is doing their best, but we can always use help and advice. Community input and participation are appreciated and the more reasoned and thoughtful the comments, the more persuasive they are. I assure you that you are all heard.

Best wishes for IPCCA – you live in a wonderful community.
